About this Course

This class is for swimmers who can complete an endurance challenge of 100 metres in 3 minutes or better and a 5-pound object carry for 15 metres. Swimmers will develop lifesaving skills in a lifesaving medley, timed object support and rescue with a buoyant aid. First aid focuses on assessment of unconscious victims, treatment of victims in shock and obstructed airway procedures. Swimmers will be required to complete an endurance challenge of 200 metres in 6 minutes or better.
